dayinsure.com, the original internet-based short-term motor insurance providers have taken the daily car and van insurance experience even further forward by introducing the first temporary motorcycle insurance policy that can be purchased by the day. We decided to call our new insurance product ‘Flexirider’, because that’s exactly what it is – a flexible insurance product for bikers, enabling them to get insurance as and when they need it, without having to amend any existing annual insurance policies and then having to wait for a new certificate / cover note to arrive in the post.
The Flexirider temporary motorcycle insurance policy is comprehensive, and the certificate of insurance and policy schedule can be printed out immediately at the end of the application process.
What Is Short-Term Motorcycle Insurance
?
Customers can purchase comprehensive short-term motorcycle insurance for periods of between 1 and 28 days, subject to a maximum of 28 days per annum. The policy is comprehensive and underwritten by Catlin Insurance Company (UK).
When Can Temporary Motorbike Insurance
Be Used?
The concept is very simple. Many bikers will need additional temporary insurance at some stage, either to use a motorbike that doesn’t belong to them, to ride a new purchase home or to insure another person to ride their own motorbike. It can be a very onerous process to amend an existing annual insurance policy by adding an additional bike or rider. Flexirider by-passes this complicated procedure, providing a simple answer to a biker’s temporary motorbike insurance needs.
How Does Temporary Bike Insurance
Work?
If you need temporary bike insurance then Flexirider provides a simple, easy to use internet booking site that requires minimal information about the bike or rider. The site clearly directs the user through the application process and the information required to set up the policy. Once payment has been made via a secure credit / debit card transaction, the biker can immediately print off the insurance certificate. A copy is also sent to the policyholder as an attachment to a confirmatory email. Bookings can be made up to 28 days in advance of the start date.

Do We Have Any Credibility In The Motorcycling World?
Flexirider’s Managing Director has been involved in motorcycling for many years, sponsoring many riders including the late, great David Jefferies in WSB, Mike Edwards with JB Racing. We have a long association with Quill Exhausts and our MD was one of the first readers to feature in MCN, riding his Ducati SP2 in a comparison test between the SP Ducati’s. Our Flexirider product was born out of this long association with the bike world. However, it will not be our only innovative product designed for real bikers. Watch this space.
